Beat the Bastard was held in Townsville, QLD Australia. It was the first Free Ride event ever to be held in Australia, and was also the first Gravity event to be a charity. They were raising money to beat the bastard, prostate cancer.
The event also included the 2nd round of the Cone Head Cup, and was a gnarly SuperG course that was around 60km/h and through hectic bends.

Jackson Shapiera is a team Hopkin rider from the Northern Beaches in Sydney, Australia. He has been competing for 2 years and is ready to take out the number one position on the world cup. Along the way he has picked up sponsors such as Rayne Longboards, Orangatang Wheels and Kooky speed trucks and is showing the rest of the world that Australian longboarders are a dominating force to be reckoned with.

It was the morning before round #4 of the 2008 Cone Head Cup. The crew was tired and hungover, but still eager to go skate some hills before the comp started. We were lucky enough to find this beauty of a spot to get some riding in to warm up the legs before the race.
